Warum Namensschilder aus Acryl eine besondere Wahl sind

Why Acrylic Name Badges Are a Special Choice

-and why I consciously chose it

When planning a wedding or a special celebration, it's often the small details that leave the biggest impression. Table decorations, materials, colors – everything contributes to the atmosphere.

Place cards are among these subtle elements that guests might not immediately recognize, but which subconsciously convey quality and style.

There are many beautiful options: paper, wood, glass, acrylic.

Everything has its charm – and in the end, it's always a matter of taste.

I consciously chose acrylic place cards. And here's why.

The Special Effect of Acrylic

Acrylic is a material that combines lightness and stability.

It appears:

  • modern, but not cold
  • elegant, but not obtrusive
  • high-quality, without being heavy

Especially at festive occasions like weddings, baptisms, or anniversaries, acrylic blends harmoniously into various styles – from minimalist to romantic.

In contrast to paper, acrylic remains dimensionally stable, doesn't crease, and feels noticeably valuable.

Compared to wood, it appears finer and calmer, without losing its natural warmth.

Why no printing, no engraving – but vinyl & chalk paint

My place cards are made of sturdy acrylic, combined with:

  • high-quality vinyl for the names
  • a hand-applied chalk paint on the back

This combination is no coincidence.

Vinyl instead of engraving

Vinyl allows for:

  • particularly fine, elegant fonts
  • clean edges and calm lines
  • a very neat overall appearance

Engravings have their own appeal, but often appear more rustic.

Vinyl fits perfectly with modern, minimalist table concepts.

Chalk paint on the back

The paint is deliberately applied from the back.

This creates:

  • a gentle depth
  • a slightly powdery look
  • no shine, no reflection

The light breaks softly – ideal for elegant table decorations and photos.

More than a place card

An acrylic place card is not just a seating card.

Many of my clients use it:

  • as part of the table decoration
  • as a small guest favor
  • later at home as a memento

It's robust enough to last – and fine enough not to be intrusive.

Why acrylic – and why from me

I work exclusively with:

  • genuine materials
  • genuine colors
  • genuine photos of my products

Each place card is carefully crafted, deliberately kept simple, and reduced to the essentials.

No mass-produced goods, no effects that distract from the name itself.

My designs are for people who:

  • love clear forms
  • value details
  • are looking for something personal that remains timeless

In the end, it's the feeling that counts

Paper, wood, acrylic – everything can be beautiful.

But if you're looking for a place card that is:

  • sturdy
  • elegant
  • modern
  • and durable

... then acrylic is a choice that subtly convinces.
